The window acts as a threshold that seeks to engage the viewer with their own notions of where one’s home can be found - in a physical domestic space, an embodiment of feeling or existing within a broader context. The act of looking is encouraged with this work, with the space beyond the window frame ushering to be seen - the glass acting as a portal to an overlooked void that expands beyond the confines of the room and invites appreciation of the peripheral.

Having moved numerous times during my adolescence and recently reconsidering my career path from nursing to art, this piece makes me ponder if home is simply where we are located in space or ‘our idea of belonging’?
