This work is a site-specific room installation that explores the relationship between photography and viewer perception - inviting participants to engage in the immersive environment offered by experience.

Having lived in Melbourne city for many years, I have developed a keen interest in taking urban photography and wanted this piece to reflect abstract city imagery from my collection. An orange hued light and personally recorded urban soundscape audio track were also incorporated into the piece to offer a multi-sensory experience into the 3D space that allowed viewers to 'stand inside a photograph'.

I aimed to achieve an installation that allowed the abstract photographic imagery to be explored spatially, with use of a plinth incorporated to represent the encompassing 3d structure of the space and the city environment.
